Jonathan, I really like your mindset. The idea of experimentation is underrated. But the interesting thing is there's a certain character element required to adopt this mindset. I don't quite know what "it" is but some people have "it" and you have "it." I believe the "it" must be already present but "it" can also be learned. That's my new goal in life to learn "it" and practice "it" daily. Great post!
