I love that you did a new podcast episode, keep them coming!

A few comments:

- I actually have no issue cutting people or situations off and I don’t think it should be something to feel bad about, in terms of feeling guilt. I think there can be sadness, which is part of the process. I see these situations as a cycle being closed, or we are not a match anymore… and it is okay, that is life, full of constant change.

-About spending company’s money… it remind me of one of my favourite books ever: No Rules Rules by Red Hastings (Netflix’s CEO) and Erin Meyer (author of the Culture Map, another brilliant book). Chapter 3b talks about removing travel and expense approvals… I found it very insightful, if you have the time/interest, I recommend reading that book.

-About the numbing topic, I think you are right… I am in that phase of listening to podcasts and Ted talks while doing simple tasks and I love it, I do see it as an improvement from watching useless shows…

Finally, yes, I love to think of this topic as personal development as well.

It was lovely meeting you and everyone from the AJ&Smart team back in December.

Cheers

Loved this episode! In 2018, I didn't drink for the whole year and that time reconnected me with my body, my creativity, and my intuition. This set me off on a path of becoming a guide in the healing space. I love that you're talking about this and bringing it into your business strategy. It's really cool to hear your transparency.

You're on to something here! I hope this keeps brining you joy and look forward to seeing what this evolves into as you go. I really enjoyed the focus on "state" finding and nurturing your healthy, happy, most peaceful and productive state .

And your playful, creative way of explaining what contributes to our best and worst states by what a Dr of sadness would prescribe!

A lot hit home with a few of the things we have in common. You inspired me to throw that brick at my phone addiction.

Self development is an incredible hobby or interest to expand into. Thank you for providing a fun way to inspire people on their development journey both personally and professionally and to be as open and honest with ourselves as you are here!

Hi, Jan from Czech Republic here. Just want to voice my feedback and say thanks for sharing your rambly thoughts, even irregularly. You said it helps you sharing internal ideas externally, and I want to share that it also help me be more introspective about my own ideas and life. And I've taken away something practical from every single episode so far.

I loved the extreme but insightful ideas on alcohol, drugs and phone addiction. I don't think you're universally right but I subscribe to many of your theories, and it inspired me to experiment with cutting out alcohol and phone more. My Brick is already on the way (for others looking for it: https://getbrick.app )

To contribute from my end too: related to ADHD, I've been reading the book Scattered Minds, which has really educated me about the complicated. It gives you practical glimpses at what attention deficit can really manifest as, as you become more aware about the behavior of people around you and yourself too. I've been leaning to the theory that I also exhibit certain ADHD symptoms and just being aware of my thought processes and habits helps a lot to find more efficient ways to deal with certain situations.

Looking forward to your next episode, whenever it may come.

I've just found this podcast, and really enjoyed it, thanks. Love the transparency and vulnerability you share. All of the points you make about how to ruin your state, I am and have been guilty of in the past. I need to change my behaviours for the better! Thanks Jonathan, and look forward to the next one (if there is a next one!)

I was sucked into the AJSmart funnel in 2021, I think. Your personal transformation I see compared to back then is remarkable. Really.

Guilty: I listened to this podcast while cooking dinner.

Thanks for recording podcasts again. What a Christmas gift!

I've first followed over Youtube you at times when Sketch was a main tool and you were managing design agency. So cool to see how you changed and evolved over time together with your business.

You podcast is raw, but this listening experience is more like a conversation. You're alone, but this is a conversation and brings sort of an intimacy. Thanks for that.

For the 2023 goals - don't be hard on yourself. Staying on the same positing on a sinking market is a growth. Let it stabilise and be ready to doubles in 2025.

Waiting for the next episode!

Maybe the best episode yet Jonathan, keep turning them out please.

Interesting that you categorise podcasts as a vice. I’d never considered that and always thought of them as positive. I’ve learned shitloads of useful information from podcasts that have improved my life. On the flip side I do get a bit anxious about content overload and I’m not present if I’m listening to them with other people around. I suppose it’s about curating the podcasts and listening to them mindfully at the right times.
