I ditto Marlanes words and felt the same listening. I hope you keep finding joy and value in doing podcasts like this and seeing where they grow to in 2023

Authenticity and human elements to brands is highly resonating and effective at creating a really valuable level of connection, trust and interest in people for what you do, why and have to offer. That value is measurable over time and I think you sticking with reflecting, finding clarity in your thoughts and whats inspiring you will translate to some really awesome things.

You do a good podcast Jonathan, I’ve missed it and enjoyed this episode. Hopefully this makes the energising list and you do some more next year.

The alcohol topic is an interesting one and your post on it earlier in the year had an impact on me. I massively cut back on drinking and removed the Friday evening beer and wine habit that I loved but didn’t serve me.

I’m back boozing moderately over Christmas but it’s a temporary thing and I’ll be returning to an occasional beer or wine with a nice meal and that’s it.

Hope you have a good Christmas and all that.

Yeah im all about moderation and not having to be super binary when it comes to quitting things, I just want to experiment with what puts me in the best state of mind

Thanks for the podcast Jonathan. Loved the mix of information, ideas and musings. It gave me some inspiring thoughts on how to evaluate my life in 2023 and what needs to happen in 2024. Have a fabulous holiday season! Love everything you and your Team do for us!!

This was a good and unexpected one. Guess that's why it's called "unscheduled" 😅

You should have mentioned the Inner Circle Mentorship because it's a blast! It did start to change a lot in my professional life, and I think I'm not alone. So I'd highlight that one for AJ&Smart.

Regarding alcohol, a very interesting insight. I've never heard such a testimonial before. I'm also an occasional drinker (I'd say Croatia is even heavier on drinks than Ireland), I only drink a shot of "rakija" on Sundays but never noticed it affecting me. "Rakija" is even considered to be a medicine for some stuff haha...

Also, the acidic reflux - I've had problems with that, especially after I eat processed food or drink cheap wine or similar. But in Croatia, we're more prone to trying out natural solutions for such cases. Not many medicines worked out for me, but what did was - a simple freaking teaspoon of baking soda mixed with half of a glass of water when the heartburn hits (try it, but it has to be aluminium-free). Also eating, as disgusting as it may sound, a spoon of dry fig with olive oil each morning (both has to be organic) does wonders for the stomach.

Anyhow I'm rambling too much 😅 Thanks for sharing the podcast, have a blessed Christmas and have a happy new year! I'm looking forward to what's coming in ICM!

Hey! Yeah the baking soda thing works for me when i need to treat it in the moment - but for treating it long term its a combo of not drinking alcohol, not eating too late and just taking medication if I feel it coming.

Thanks for commenting!!

Hi Jonathan!

Last year I followed the exercise of the 2 lists: the things that name you happy and the ones that were not so grate. I loved it and I want to do it this year again but I can't find the article you made reference to.

Is it this one by chance: https://medium.com/@markbuchanan_29866/close-out-2023-strong-and-write-your-year-in-review-list-f6feeeea5858

Or could you please share it again (sorry)

Hope to see more episodes!
